We went here for dinner on Nov 21st. The food was fantastic! They had specialty lobster salad which was amazing and pasta was great as well. I was impressed by a lemon cheesecake which was very light and delicious. But what was truly exceptional is the service. Our water was always full and dishes switched, table cleaned. We couldn’t wish for a better place for dinner that night! Highly recommend!
Piccola Cucina Uptown is easily one of the best Sicilian restaurants in NYC! The grilled octopus is tender and full of flavor, the arancini are perfectly flavorful & crisp. The pasta is consistently great, and the thin-crust pizza delivers that light, crispy bite, crispy, and loaded with taste without feeling heavy. Tiramisu —Easily one of the best you’ll find anywhere. All around, this place delivers consistently great food and a warm, welcoming vibe. A must-visit if you’re looking for truly great Sicilian cooking in NYC.
We came here with a friend blast night and everything was great. From the hostess to the very last moment it as a beautiful experience. The servers were very helpful and kind. We order the Burt's with Pomodorini and the polpo carpaccio for appetizers, the lasagna and branzino for entres and for desserts we ordered the espresso creme brulee and one of the special desserts, a pear, chocolate and ricotta tart with vanilla gelato.
We went with our friends for dinner again recently. Been there many times and it is always fun. We sat in the back near the kitchen this time. Ordered several appetizers and main courses to share with the table. Then had great deserts. Erica the hostess is wonderful and always makes our visit a memorable dining experience. Highly recommended! Visit often. Reservations a must. Back again for lunch with friends. We ordered pasta with sausage and salad with tuna. Both were very nice. Large portions.
This was my 1st time dining here and my goodness, will I be a returning customer in the future. My friend and I were originally supposed to dine at the Monkey Bar last minute as we just finished a fun day of shopping, not only were their reservations staff rude as hell but we were told we were the 17th person in line to wait for a table....I think not and found this place on Google hoping just to get food in our systems. We were seated immediately, service was impeccable, the menu was full of lovely, authentic, Italian food from fish to pasta served with bread and condiments. Both of us ordered pasta dishes, came out quick and piping hot and my friends pasta was made tableside in a pasta Wheel, I felt like I was in for a show. Drinks were also fantastic and reasonably priced and even though we didnt have room for desert in our system, our server insisted we have the cannolis (which were indeed fantastic)! Our server even noticed that our bags were touching the floor and gave us bag hooks and I felt so happy we chose this place. They should give an dining and hospitality etiquette class to the team at Monkey bar, this should be as popular if not more than that establishment.
Really good Italian cuisine. This is as authentic as I've gotten. Recommend making a reservation. The times that I've been here I've gotten in by chance. A little bit of chaos since there's a lot of people on a semi small area. The cacio e pepe is made in front of you with fresh pepper added on top. The lasagna is a big portion with plenty of ground meat, sauce and cheese. I love the dishes they use to serve the food on. The the 3 sides that are served with the bread are delicious even though I don't know what they are.
The complimentary bread was absolutely amazing! Fresh, chewy, and full of flavor. Pizza liked bread, they called it focaccia, but it was actually the thin and crispy kind. The cheese on the pizza was quite salty and they used a generous amount of it, so I had to drink lots of water to balance it out. For dessert, I tried the tiramisu — freshly made right in front of us, and it was pretty good! All in all, the service here was incredibly nice. Such a pleasant dining experience!
